KAPSULA 2030: A Dose of Knowledge for Innovations in Healthcare
A large number of studies have identified key local and global challenges that significantly impact the development of the HealthTech, MedTech and BioTech industries. The most significant challenges are related to technological progress and innovation, as well as the acquisition of socio-economic knowledge by students in natural and technological sciences.
For these reasons, from December 7 to 11, 2022, the first bootcamp titled "Kapsula 2030: A Dose of Knowledge for Innovations in Healthcare" was held in Belgrade within the pilot supercluster of the Health Technology Laboratory. The Kapsula 2030 bootcamp was created to offer a combination of basic business and digital skills, specifically designed for students and young professionals (with up to 5 years of work experience) in the medical and biological sciences, as well as other natural and technical sciences. The goal of this program was to introduce them to and prepare them for the challenges that the modern market brings in the field of health innovations.
Over 80 registered candidates followed the lectures at three locations - live in Belgrade (FEFA faculty) and via online broadcast in Nis (Faculty of Mechanical Engineering) and Novi Sad (Faculty of Pharmacy).
The bootcamp covered three segments: Fundamentals of Modern Business; Digital Tools in Modern Business; Realization of Project Ideas in the Modern Market. During the five-day period, our participants had the opportunity to listen to top-notch local lecturers and share their expertise through the following lectures: ▪ Entrepreneurship and Innovations in Healthcare - Doc. Dr. Jelisaveta Lazarevic, Damjan Damnjanovic, Dr. Natasa Golic, Maja Conkic; ▪ Design Thinking - the Art and Science of Disruption - Aleksandar Stojkovic ▪ Technologies in Modern Business (IoT, Blockchain, Cloud) - Prof. Dr. Srdjan Krcko ▪ Data Science and Decision-Making Based on Data - Prof. Dr. Srdjan Verbic ▪ Project Management in Healthcare - Doc. Dr. Helena Hirshenberger ▪ Market Research - Marijana Agic-Molnar ▪ Business Plan Development - Prof. Dr. Sandra Nesic.
This was also the first step of the planned steps we want to take towards an innovative approach to healthcare and providing innovative healthcare protection. Several ideas and teams emerged from the bootcamp that will continue to develop them as potential innovations and startups in the healthcare market.
